Common questions.

Can’t find your answer? Just ask me directly — I’m happy to help.

The biggest difference is simple: I don’t cap your photos. Most photographers deliver 50–100 images. I deliver every great shot from your session — because your memories deserve to be complete, not curated down to a highlight reel.
I’m based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and serve all of Southern California. Travel beyond 30 miles may include a small travel fee. I’m also available for destination sessions — just reach out and let’s talk!
Sessions are booked on weekends. I’m reachable during the week to chat, plan, and get you on the calendar. Popular dates — especially for weddings and events — fill up quickly, so reach out as early as you can.
Yes! Overcast days are actually some of my favorites for portraits — the soft, diffused light is incredibly flattering. For heavy rain or dangerous conditions, we’ll work together to reschedule or find creative alternatives.
Once we’ve agreed on the details, I’ll send you a contract and an invoice for your non-refundable retainer — 25% of your total booking fee. Your date is officially held when both are completed. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session.
Yes — a non-refundable retainer of 25% of your total booking fee is required to reserve your date. This protects both of us and ensures I hold that date exclusively for you. The remaining balance is due on or before your session date.
Life happens — I get it. Rescheduling with enough notice (typically 2+ weeks) is usually no problem, subject to availability. Cancellations forfeit the retainer. Full details are in your contract.
I accept major credit/debit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and check. Payment details will be included in your invoice.
I’ll send you a detailed style guide after booking! Generally: choose outfits that make you feel confident, coordinate (but don’t match exactly) for groups, and avoid busy logos or patterns. Comfort matters — if you’re uncomfortable, it shows in photos.
This is the most common thing I hear — and honestly, most of my best shots come from people who said they were terrible in photos. My sessions are low-pressure, fun, and feel more like a hangout than a photoshoot. I’ll guide you through every pose and prompt you so you never have to think too hard about what to do.
For portrait sessions, it’s often best to keep the group small so everyone stays focused. But I understand kids need parents close by, and sometimes a friend is the best hype person — just let me know ahead of time!
This is where I’m different — I deliver as many photos as possible. There’s no artificial cap. The number varies naturally by session length and what happens during your shoot, but you’ll receive every strong image, not just a curated handful.
Typical turnaround is 2–4 weeks depending on the session type and time of year. Weddings may take slightly longer. Rush delivery (48 hours) is available as an add-on — ask about it when booking.
Your gallery will be delivered in two parts. First, you’ll receive a private online gallery link where you can view your photos and order prints directly. Then, a separate download link will be sent so you can download your print-ready and social media-ready files to keep forever. Please note: once you receive your download link, saving your photos is your responsibility — online galleries are only available for the time period outlined in your contract.
Online galleries are available for the time period specified in your contract — please download your files and save them as soon as possible. I store photos for up to 6 months after delivery. After that period, files are no longer available and cannot be resent. The responsibility for saving and backing up your photos rests with you once they have been delivered.
Your photos are licensed for personal use — printing, sharing on social media, framing, and sending to family and friends. Commercial use (such as advertising, editorial, or business purposes) is not included by default. If you need commercial rights, just reach out and we can discuss what works for your situation.
I recommend booking 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak season (May–October) and popular weekend dates. That said, I do accommodate shorter timelines — don’t hesitate to reach out even if your date is coming up soon.
Absolutely — intimate weddings are some of my favorite sessions to photograph. Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering of your closest people, every moment gets the same care and attention as a large wedding. No celebration is too small.
For larger weddings, a second shooter is available and can be added to your package. This ensures you have full coverage from multiple angles simultaneously — especially helpful during ceremonies and cocktail hours.
Yes — during our pre-wedding consultation, we’ll go over must-have moments and any specific family groupings for formals. I encourage a loose shot list rather than a rigid script, so I have room to capture the spontaneous moments too.
